Once you are aware of your reality, you can start to tip the scales toward your values and rediscover the balance in mind and body. The Mind Illumined approach bases interventions on data about you, not the 'average person'.
To move beyond the 'what works for the average person' or 'the pill for every ill' paradigms, you need a collaborative relationship with a clinician who supports you in building expertise around your mental and physical health while working with you to troubleshoot issues along your journey. Building the habit of awareness and action around balance, metabolism and nutrition, gut health, sleep and movement can shift your need and use of both prescription medications and supplements. The Mind Illumined approach utilizes a combination of prescription pharmaceuticals, herbals, supplements and neutraceuticals with your lifestyle changes to promote healing and resiliency so you can take the lowest, effective dose of any agent and safely stop any agent if and when appropriate.
